I don’t like rain or bad weather very much, and it has constantly rained the past four days. It hasn’t rained in almost half a year here too. I find myself generally more subdued and extremely tired because of the weather. I’ve slept a lot the past few days.
The rain has brought out a few changes in everyday life…
… I found a new ant infestation near the doorway trying to take cover from the rain under the awning.
… my car feels very sluggish. It actually feels like I’m driving a truck (I do, actually, drive a truck, but it usually drives very smoothly).
… I got out my Gore-Tex jacket from storage. It’s a light windbreaker-type, and it’s the heaviest jacket I have in CA. Compared to the minus 140 degree heavy down jacket and the total warmth wool trenchcoat I had to wear in MI.

I love the rain providing I don’t have to actually walk through it. This may sound kind of lame, but there’s nothing quite like reading a book when there’s a thunderstorm out. For some reason, I find myself more prone to creativity in darker, more dreary weather.
