Wow, she made it back… and dyed her hair pink! Well, not quite… it didn’t hit me until I saw the transformation scene that the same production team responsible for Melody of Oblivion is working on Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo (My Wife Is A Magical Girl). Yes, the over-the-topness sexual innuendo from MoO is alive and well in Okusama.
(Though JC Staff also did Mahoraba… and Kozue’s transformation sequences were not up to par.)
Okusama is about a witch, Agnes, from a parallel world to ours, and she disguises herself as an ordinary housewife. She has one limitation in that she will lose her powers if she kisses a man from our world. To that effect… I’m not sure who her husband is at this point, but she becomes very friendly with the neighborhood college student loser type. Yes… it sounds suspiciously like Onegai Teacher… and it doesn’t help that Inoue Kikuko voices the red-haired witch. So I’m definitely curious how the series will turn out… spiritual fanservice successor to MoO or a muddled-plot disaster like Onegai Teacher.
