I’ve been busy the past few days, and I suspect this will continue for at least another week or two. I finally got in a game of GGXX last night. Been trying out Slayer, Bridget, and Justice. Justice is basically Dizzy with deadier overdrives and the ability to punish low. Slayer has an easy overdrive to combo with, and his command throw is beyond cheap. While teddy bear riding a bike in a circle of fire is a great overdrive, Bridget suffers from too much micromanagement to use effectively. Same goes with that dog summon of Zappa’s.
I also watched some anime today, and I’ve only had time to keep tabs on one show: Gunparade March. In some alternate universe, WWII was fought against huge space aliens, and humanity has all about lost, except for the island of Japan, which is so desperate for soldiers, grade schoolers are sent to battle. The show follows one class of students, and it’s more of a love story than a big mecha series and is more reminiscient of the first ten eps of Full Metal Panic. There’s also plenty of yuri.
