I fully blame Narg for this post. I watched some Raimuiro Senkitan over the weekend (due mostly to his posts on the ML), and I got this familiar feeling that I’ve seen this before… the show is so derivative from other shows, it’s scary. So the lead guy just looks like a pedophile. So the lead girl just sounds like KFC Jam. So the ED is an exact ripoff of the ED of Happy Lesson, complete with the maracas. So the whole plot/scenario reeks of Sakura Taisen. Yet, I kept watching.

From left to right, top row:
Kinu– the clumsy one. Looks exactly like the clumsy one from Gunparade March.
Asa– the “otoko onna” if you know what I mean. Think a reverse Aoi from YUA.
Momen– the clumsy one, the default chix0r for any dating sim. Reminds me of Minawa.
Sarasa– the Tomo of the crowd. Yes, she’s back, in full fanservice mode.
Rinzu– if you took Ruri from Nadesico and Yuki from Gatekeepers, you’d get Rinzu.
The three in front:

The premise is that the Russo-Japanese war was about cute girls and how they can control warrior spirits to fight for them. The Russians have been cornering the market, so the Japanese decided to fight back with the Raimuiro squad. These fives girls have been ask to give their lives and their modesty for their country. The military feels bad that they are sending little girls to fight for them, so they decided to simulate a typical schoolgirl’s life on board their flying battleship, and they hired Shintaro to be their teach.

Of course, each girl has some dysfunction, and Shintaro helps them with this which awakens their true warrior spirits and cause that girl to fall in love with Shintaro. Shintaro, though, is a Keitaro-class pervert, so you know he’s enjoying this. Rounding out the cast is the principal, who reminds me of Command Misato… from Mahoro, the nurse who is like Shukijo-sensei, and Shintaro’s true love: the leader of the Russian version of Raimuiro.

RS is blatantly fanservice, and that’s probably why it’s on the ML.
