I’ve been sick since yesterday, and I’m hating it. I don’t have any energy except to lie in bed and watch anime all day long, which normally isn’t a bad thing, but due to my poor stamina, I tend to fall asleep during the eps or not being able to concentrate and read the subtitles properly. Oh well, at least it’s time for another Anime Power Rankings™, the flu edition. There’s some movement, as Full Bonta-kun Panic is retired (since it’s over) along with Hakufu’s Fanservice Hour.

  1. Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito — best mix of fanservice/action in a long time…welcome to the top spot.
  2. Tsukihime — since when did vampires suck blood from women’s breats?
  3. Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi — I finally broke down and started watching this. It’s a lot less funny than the previous series, but a lot more endearing. That and it has a nakkid Aoi in the OP.
  4. Chrno Crusade — probably the best animation quality for an anime TV series that I have ever seen.
  5. Da Capo — that cat thing freaks me out still.
  6. Noir 2 Gunslinger Girl — PMS and guns! The brave new frontier of anime.

    Actually, vampires sucking blood from women’s breasts is an ancient legend. It predates our current notion of the dark, brooding, sex creatures we have come to think of vampires thanks to Brahm Stoker’s Dracula.
    Back in the Middle Ages (and before) vampires were revolting, decayed creatures. Many such legends surfaced in Eastern Europe or vampires, and some other names included strigoi (Romanian) and…
