What’s with all these girls bawling in the final episodes lately?
I just watched the end to Shigofumi, Gundam 00, Shana, True Tears, Bamboo Blade, Rosario + Vampire, and Minami-ke in the past week, and each series had more crying than the previous one. What gives? Is this the new fad?
(+10 pop culture points if you can guess all of the songs without checking out the YouTube links. Scary thing is that I have all of these songs except the Prince one on my iPod.)

Oh man, that one under Kazumi/Shana was a tough one….
Sadly the only one I got (besides the obvious) was the Madonna one, and it’s solely because of the movie Evita.
I think that if U were to list out the amount of crying in last episode from most to least I think Shigofumi would be at the top, they were going to friggin drown themselves.
I am questioning your sanity for watching even a single scene of Rosario to Pantsu.

I’m sad that most anime are ending. I’m even sadder because Code Geass R2 is coming and the entire anime community will be one huge raging shitstorm for the next 6 months.

All the shows I watched have ended! I’m in despair! Nothing to watch now… well.. except Chi’s Sweet Home. Which kinda rocks somehow. Don’t ask.
Girls bawling, why is that so surprising? I don’t get it.
With all my shows ending, and ending in crying, I feel like joing them. Because I realize… this Spring sucks.
This spring is a sad season for anime. So far my only to watch list is Narutp Shippuden, which as of late, has ACTUALLY been moving slower than Dragon ball Z during the Frieza Saga. Naruto Shippuden is about 60% Flash backs, 20% drawn out staring, 15% Un-needed footage, and only 5% actual story.
52 Episodes…. 52 FREAKING episodes, and we’ve covered MAYBE 30 or so chapters?
I’d rather go back to fillers again if it meant for atleast a little while, we got fast paced, constant action Naruto.
I mean, hey, I enjoyed some fillers, it atleast gave us more Hinata, Tenten, and Ino than the actual story line combined.
Other than that, this season all I have is Clannad After story. Sad days….
Maybe I’ve missed some gems that are aimed to air this season, but so far, I just want to cry… cry into Haruka’s floatation devices…

next season looks sad. On the bright side, i have less anime series to worry about which episode i might’ve missed.
P.S. I was stupid enough to actually wait for a.f.k’s subs for clannad. can someone help me out and tell me which subber i should get widescreen from.
If you don’t have anything to watch (like Saotome), just download some older shows. There are plenty of masterpieces out there after all. Plus you don’t have to wait a week for a new episode!

You get +9001 internets for the Prince reference and link….. but you lose -5 for the Jay-z reference…. so you Barely Miss ‘over nine thoussannnddd’ rating… Still very respectable power numbers…
On a totally different topic, I am excited to see Fukudome of the Cubs start of so well, but I a met fan have watched the same occur in two of our imports only to see it implode in OH-KYONKO-NO form of epic failure. Hope he still doing wel when i get to see him in may…..

It’s surprisingly rare. Out of 11 series I followed the last two seasons, 8 ended up with bawling (Spice and Wolf surprisingly did not, unless you count me sobbing over how bad it was; Hayate I haven’t finished; Kimikiss I haven’t finished either).
If you go back half a year, most of the series that ended, didn’t have girls bawling in their final episodes: Lucky Star, Seirei, Gurren Lagann, Monster Princess, Darker Than Black. Simon and Nia didn’t shed tears when she was about to disappear. Wobbly eyes, yes.
Got 1/8 for me as I recognised the Higurashi theme. This confirms that I am not in touch with pop music culture, a thought that very much puts me at ease. Out of the seven unknowns, Madonna and Prince are only artists I even recognise by name, and the one you put under Rosario is “not available in my country” so no idea who it is (Prince won’t play outside US either, but at least the page told me the artist name). I guess it is obvious that I don’t watch any music channels, nor listen to radio…
Technically, neither Gundam 00 or Bamboo Blade is over for me yet. Conclave-Mendoi are stuck on Gundam 22 and Huzzah-Doremi are still at Bamboo Blade 24.
Mostly watching olders shows atm so I’m not yet at everyone crying stage. Maybe it’s just ongoing fashion or it’s spring and animators don’t have girlfriends. True half a year ago only real tears were at the end of Gurren Lagann. And those were my manly mantears.
About Shakugan ending. Ah, Yuji chooses loli. But he doesn’t really have choice, does he? If he’d go for Kazumi, Shana would probably stab him death. With reiji maigo back there should be enough Yuji for everyone. For Carmel and Pheles too. Now Kazumi must seek comfortment from Ike. But she’ll notice that Ikes together with glasses girl. After that it’s obvious what happens. Kazumi hooks up with Carmel and they’ll have lots of bondage.
Oh, SnS ending reminds me. Apparently it caused a shitstorm in a water glass over at 4chan because it completely breaks the light novel continuity. I didn’t get a clear idea since /a/ was moving pretty fast again, but as far as I could tell, the snake of the festival thing should’ve followed this. Instead, we get a non-canonical Yuji choosing between the girls. Which doesn’t make a lot of sense unless they had already decided not to do a third season and wanted some kind of closure.

Man, this season REALLY sucked … expecialy J.C. Staff that been on a roll of Failure ever since Nodame ended.
J.C.Staff has a win rate equal to its fail rate. Or do you consider Potemayo and Shigofumi to be failures as well?
Hmm…I got a 6/8. Didn’t get Rihanna (She sucks) and the Higurashi one (I skip the Op/Ed or I’m not otaku enough)

Meh I can’t fault Jay-z as a business man, just don’t like his music… amazes me how people classify this man as one of the greatest rappers ever….Im also annoyed that he fucking won’t stay retired…. >_<
More about SnS endind. With this they can continue if they want. We really didn’t see Yuji choosing, but ending makes you think so.
