Since when did Nagisa start looking like Higurashi‘s Rena… ?
Back a while ago, I said the following about Strawberry Panic: “That’s the key. Use a carrot to lure the male audience while present stories in a while that’ll appeal to both genders.” Um, I’m definitely not watching this for the high arcing plot, emo facial contortions, intense mecha battles, or life altering morality play… but I am watching it. And I think a lot more girls watch this show than a typical Media Works title.

Uh because they have the same voice actress?
In my most twisted fantasies, I dreamed of Nagisa pulling a Rena on Shizuma or Tamao, then going on a killing spree.
I watch Strawberry Panic solely for one reason, and one reason only. To bask in the radiance of Suzumi Tamao.
Chikaru, Tamao and Yaya (in this order of preference) are the reasons I follow this show.
And I because of cheesy yuri angst. It seems there are as many reasons as watchers…
I pretty much laughed when Hikaru was all like “OMG Yaya what have you done to me? ;____;” after she had been kissed and fondled by her.
Whoops, I meant Hikari.
You know, while 19 wasn’t quite as horrible as 18 was, Kaori ended up having exactly zero personality.
The only sad part of the entire episode was Rokujou sitting alone in her dark room while Shizuma and Kaori were *points at OP image*
Why do you expect Kaori to have a personality? She isn’t a character, she is a plot device to explain Shizuma’s behavior. She has no independent existence outside of Shizuma so she has no need for anything except to die a tragic death.

Well, yeah. But that doesn’t mean they couldn’t have given her a personality, and maybe gave us some reason to actually believe Shizuma would fall for this girl.
I hope 18 doesnt mean that Shizuma x Tamao is not going to happen. That’s the only thing keeping me watching this show.

Shizuma fell for Nagisa. She doesn’t need a reason apparently. You have a point but what you suggest is what a well written plot should be. However this is Strawberry Panic. Its charm lies in other areas.
I feel sorry for Miyuki, the real victim here… a real friend for Shizuma, but indeed a lot of pain for her heart.

Yep so damn sexy and hot and over all awesome that I’m sure straight otaku girls would be willing to make out with her if given the chance.
Sure Shizuma is emo(ish) but I she’s my fav character. And as a lesbian, if Shizuma were real I’d totally do her. Ahem.
That said, Kaori does have SOMEWHAT of a persona but there isn’t an developement at all as she’s supposed to be the dead girl. Heh someone has to do the dirty job.
