For people who never ever normally visit my blog, I try to keep this alive when everything else goes to hell. Between this month and the previous month, server data transfer has increased roughly 10 gigs. That’s right. 10 gigs extra in <30 days, and it pretty much puts me in a significantly more expensive price range– one that I do not wish to pay.

So you must be asking, where does the extra traffic come from? I think the site got hit with a few evil spiders, and the blogs/forums were creamed. I say evil because I have robots.txt files that stop nice spiders from indexing the site… so if forums and blogs are the main culprits:

So, as a temporary measure, I have shut down the forums. This will be down for a few days as I try to figure out what to do with it.

Secondly, I will discontinue hosting blogs over at blogs.belldandy.us permanantly. It was fun while it lasted, but I need all the bandwidth I can get now.

Lastly, I suspended the fanservice service. It may return in a different form other than e-mail though…

This is like cutting off an arm for me personally. I don’t want to do this, but I also don’t want everything that I have worked for go up in smoke. If I can pick and choose what I can save, I will pick and choose. Again, I offer no ads, and I beg for no donations. So don’t whine about this to me. Ever.
