I caught Matrix Revolutions last night, and I had some questions. There’s a good deal of spoilers, so click more if you are ready to enter the matrix… :)
1. I couldn’t help but think of how idiotic the entire human race must be: (1) they have missiles (2) they have EMP devices that they could put on said missiles. Why couldn’t they? Even modern EMP devices are attached to missiles.
2. The whole EMP thing is silly since electronics today are shielded in most military vehicles just to prevent them from being EMP’ed. Why don’t the machines adapt this technology?
3. The Trinity death scene was like twice as long as it needed to be. Also, I fail to see the point of blinding Neo– was it just so more sympathy can be squeezed out of Trinity before she croaked?
4. We used to wonder if breasts were real or implants. Now I wonder if Persephone’s (Monica Bellucci) are real, implants, or digitially enhanced. My goodness… wow. Where can I rent Tears of the Sun now?
5. I thought it was sad that Morpheous had just a bit role in this movie. Why did they rehash Trinity’s bullet time kick, but not Morph’s awesome double kick?
6. Did that Neo/Smith fight at the end seem like… oh… Dragon Ball Z to anyone? Couldn’t they rip off some better anime?
7. Why is the Asian guy always the bad ass videogame gunner (Ghost) or the bad ass karate guy (Seraph)? Why can’t the Asian guy be the pimp Merovingian with the hottie wife?
8. Don’t you think that the Artitect should be doing fried chicken commercials?
9. What ever happened to Tank? He’s not in the sequels, the game, or Animatrix.
10. When can I expect that Animatrix 2 featuring the cast of Da Capo?

Tank was “tanked” from the series after the first movie. His contract was up and they called everyone else in for a meeting on the second movie except him. He got pissed off and crashedt the party. Suffice it to say, he was not rehired.
3: Yeah, the reason that this was in the movie was because the Director brothers wanted to incorporate a love story into Matrix’s plot. Most of my friends and I agree that this was a pretty dumb idea and it detracts from the main plot of the movie a lot. I just thought it was hilarious that she had 3 metal poles sticking out of her and she’s giving a 10 minute speech. But, Matrix does have a lot of plot stalls, so this is really no surprise.
4: Anyone else notice that Persephone had like only 2 lines but she (and her low cut top) was in almost every shot that the frenchman was in? Ah, fanservice.
6: A lot of Matrix was rip-offs. The way Neo was carted off by the machines at the end is right out of Star Trek when Spock dies. The line where Smith says something about “It’s my job to find things out” or something is from Pink Panther. Matrix is all about special effects, and having them fly around like superman beating the crap out of each other across a background that’s filled with green lightning is the way to go. I liked the whole water sphere effect, but they really killed it by doing it everytime they connected with each other. It’s like some fool found a filter in Photoshop and kept hitting ctrl+F making the scene.
ok first of all you guys dont see the religous part in the movie? the part where neo is carried away is like jesus carried away on the cross also there crosses in the lighting at the end…you guys are morons yeah there were some stupid parts of the movie but do you think they would try to rip off other movies??? NO!!!! remember they wrote that whole script!!!! they probablly didnt even think of star wars or pink panther!!! look you guys have your rights to your own opinions and i have mine!!! so how about you guys just stop looking at the small stupid things and try to match up the plot and try to understand the movie like others…….
also the thing with neo being blinded that was to have neo look at things with senses and not his eyes cause remember alls he can see is the coding when hes blind….so he has to do everything by sensing…..who knows maybe he could see through the coding and know when they are going to attack
