Umm… Techinaclly it’s called seitenkan BECAUSE the Japanese started the movement with their images and movies… So technically, if the majority of the doujin revolve around kyon turning into a girl, and not starting out as one, that would mean the West missed the point. Technically speaking.
However, I imagine the alt. world type doujins will be more numerous. Primarily the Yaoi ones of the various genderbent Haruhi guys. With Kyonko-Itsuko yuri coming in second place.

seeing as Makoto isn’t very popular with the opposite gender… i think Mako-chan is the only one who would be viable for compensation… if you get my drift…. and as you see with Toma.. Mako-chan works on both genders… no need to change, one look tricks all. XD
Host clubs are old news. Hosts who look that pretty, on the other hand, are a new piece of data for me. And no, Mako-chan will BE a host someday – if Kana doesn’t marry him, or Touma and/or Uchida don’t lay claim to him first.
