Most definitive proof yet that Macross Frontier can’t avoid an eventual train wreck fate. It’s not too late to save things! Get a promo deal with Chick-fil-A instead and show more Nyan-Nyan dances.

    Taco Bell was the only restaurant to survive the Franchise Wars. Now all restaurants are Taco Bell.

    Right after I pasted that I was surprised to see this snippet (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106697/trivia):

    For some non-American releases, references to Taco Bell were changed to Pizza Hut. This includes dubbing, plus changing the logos during post-production. Taco Bell remains in the closing credits. In the Swedish release the subtitles still use Taco Bell while the sound and picture has been altered as above.

    I actually remember a TV broadcast of Demolition Man here in the states, and it still used the Taco Bell joke. Maybe FOX couldn’t find the altered version?

    Just because Taco Bell won the war, doesn’t mean that can’t use the older company names. Owning the opposition and using their name for your own profit is the best revenge. See various formerly Pepsico owned fast food chains. (Including Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC…thus getting Rena into the picture). Basically Taco Bell has still won, even if it says Pizza Hut or KFC. They are still currently owned by the same company.

    Pizza Hut supports the Macross fleets, and was the only chain to survive the sterilization of Earth, having had a presence in the moonbase as well as on the Macross. Between them and the Nyan Nyan restaurant chain, they have most of the market cornered.

    Oh, and they do deliveries with VF-22’s. Do NOT stiff them on the bill when they arrive.

    Kinda makes you wonder how many pizzas you’d have to deliver to cover gas costs. Fissile material isn’t cheap.

    On the plus side, I suspect keeping the pies “hot” is NOT a problem when one delivers with a Variable Fighter.
