The blog好き effect: when a show gets better because of this blog’s discerning audience. They can see past the rough exterior of these shows and peer into the gem underneath. It’s similar to how a player fits into a system in football, much like how Wes Welker was a mediocre receiver until he made it into the Patriot’s system. Past examples of the blog好き effect include Muteki Kanban Musume, Code Geass, and Kamen on Meido Guy. And that’s definitely the case for Maria+Holic.

So this is a victory for you. Thanks to my awesome and awesomely broken readers for being different than every other anime blog and actually being able to have some fun and have some personality. Yep, you are my readers, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    Not best meido: best Meido GUITAR. And best insult-hurling meido, who makes even disrespect look cute (see the ‘you’re so funny, Kanako-sama’ episode).

    Matsurika tongue is formidable, but as far as meidoing goes she doesn’t compare to Maria, the Hanaukyo Maids, or jasonko in a frilly apron Kogarashi. Mariya on the other hand… Best. Trap. Ever.
