This show reminds me a lot of Genshiken. Dialogue for otaku by otaku concerning otaku approved by otaku sponsored by otaku.
(Animation by AIC… pretty good. Smooth, detailed, good backgrounds, camera angle changes… so much better than Bakuman but not as good as Star Driver.)

Love the one-liners in this show. Can it keep it up?
For a little sister who claims she’s not into little sister eroges because she’s attracted to her brother, she has a really strange way of waking him up at night.
(No, seriously, she doesn’t realize she’s playing eroges about brothers getting it on with their little sisters in the depths of the night? And her explanation for liking them is that she wants a little sister to play with? I dunno. This alone is enough to get me watching momre Oreimo. And Oreimo sounds more like a snack food.)

I swear, Kirino reminds me of a genderswapped onii-chan obsessed Keima.
(And she’s voiced by the same seiyuu as Azu-nyan, so whenever she starts going into tsundere mode, I can totally picture Azu-nyan reprimanding Yui for being a lazy slob. Please don’t say that you are lazy…)

Uh, there’s all games of the same genre. What would people think if I had nothing but a wall full of tentacle eroges? Or eroges featuring meido? Or eroges featuring licking and eating food off of naked haremettes? Of course you’re going to assume the worst! Kirino just isn’t honest with herself yet– either she’s a lesbian with desires of having a little sister or that she wants her older brother. There’s no in between.
(I’m guessing Don Draper designed those eroge boxes because they seem to be so damn effective on middle school girls.)

Possibly THE show of the season.
I’ve enjoyed the manga thus far, but I’ll approach the anime with something resembling trepidation. I have this fear that it’s going to go down the path of tedious shite that’s plagued so many similar shows. Happy to be proven wrong though, if it sticks to the novels closely then it should be pretty good.
eh… so far, the doujinshi was better.
Sure there is – she wants her older brother to be a little sister who she can have sex with. He is even has the black hair :P
why do I feel that Kamiya would be great as the male lead?

The manga, from what I’ve heard, goes more fan service and less humor than the novels, so thus us promising. So, why’d you drag a trap into this post, Jason? Cute frills with unique eye colors not enough for you?

Kirino had all the 0verflow games in her stack – School Days, Summer Days, Cross Days, etc. So there’s hope for a Nice Boat ending.
“Boiled by Gendo” would make a fantastic band name.
I have to say, though, that agreeing to play a little sister eroge to “help out your sister” is Bad Idea Jeans-worthy. NOTHING good can come of that for our protagonist. (The viewers, OTOH…)
Damn, that was awesome in a way. I want to know what course this series will take, novel or manga way. For the moment, eveything is perfect.

After the disappointment that was Bakuman, I’m glad that there’s some eye candy in there for me.
Well, withholding judgement on World God Only Knows just yet, but.
This show is going to go badly…..but in a GOOD way…in a FUNNY AS HELL way! This IS the funniest show I’ve watched in a long time. Nothing good can come of this, except for humour and entertainment. A lot of shows try to be funny and in the end the humour and laughs is sort of like kissing your sister. THIS show, well….it’s like…..ummmmm…..I think I’ll just move along here….
Yup, the dad is Gendo/Kenpachi from Bleach/Madao from Gintama/all those tough guys.
Sometimes I wonder just how many female otaku really do exist in Japan. Probably nowhere near as many as in America, or Finland, but…it makes you wonder….
