it’s time to jump for joy!

I finished up Wind Waker over the weekend, and it was a great game. Definitely a bit on the easy side– didn’t even use a potion in the game until the Worm Puppet Gannon form, and that was because I was out of mana for the arrows of absolute pwnage. The game is pretty incredible, though the number of people who flirt with Link throughout the game is kinda disturbing… isn’t he a bit young for a 800+ year old princess or the queen of the fairies?
I really liked all of the facial animations, and the cel shading style fits the series very well. Yes, there were Zelda games before OOT, and they were *GASP* all cartoony. I’m that tiny minority who didn’t like the grown up Link in OOT.
I also appreciated all the whimsical atmosphere from LTTP like how when Link finds a red ruby, it goes “What a pleasant surprise!” or when you find that silver ruby, “It’s time to jump for joy!”. Link’s little dance after acquiring heart containers is also precious.
Getting 3000+ rupies so that Tingle can draw a bunch of crayon all over your map is such a pain in teh butt. =(
Not really… I never really had a money problem all game. Just go around looting, though I am missing 1 heart container piece and it’s annoying the heck out of me.
