I guess that ayyo’s explaination as to why Shiho the Skelly went berserk makes sense in context of episode 15 since Shana spends the first few minutes apologizing to him and saying it was just a joke. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t sit well with me just because most people die from heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer… and when people die from these illnesses, they don’t see blood. They’re in a lot of pain, but they’re certainly not covered in blood. Anyway…
The tomogara that was tracking the Tendoukyu finally makes it onto the island and almost breaks out laughing when he finds a powerless Shana. She’s actually scared for a bit that she’s going to be eaten. However, Wilhemina outruns the Sensei tomogara (thanks to Tenraku Ikko pwning everything in site) and saves Shana. I just loved the look on Shana’s face when Wihemina assures her that she’s going to be a Flame Haze, and it’s always hiliarous to see Wilhemina pick Shana up like a little kid. The two then retreat thanks to some diversions from Shiho. Oddly, instead of going to Alastor, they bandage up Shana’s wounds and wax poetic on Tenraku Ikko, which consumes enough time to bring all the players including Ikko and Sensei to the Tendoukyu. After hearing about Ikko, Shana wats to use that mistes, and she brings Ikko to Alastor with her. All while nakkid in bandages– warrants mentioning. As Shana is accepting Alastor and vice-versa to become a Flame Haze, Wihemina has her hands full fighting off Sensei… and to be continued.
I guess we’re firmly entrenched in the Shana flashback storyline as neither Yoshida nor Yuji make an appearance, though the previous flame-haired Flame Haze makes a quick cameo. While the story was nothing special, having Shana run around nakkid in bandages for half the episode kept my attention, and I’m surprised that they’re able to fit in yet another moe category. I’m waiting for nekomimi and sad girl in snow to pop up next. (Though if a bandaged, nekomimi, melonpan-consuming Shana were looking sad in the snow with Wilhemina tending to her, I’m not sure what I’ll do… point to the sky and have a moe meltdown?). Besides catering to the moe bandage crowd, this episode also breaks in the new ED, Aka no Seijaku, (“Silence of Red”) sung by Yoko Ishida (Open Your Mind). The new ED is more subdued… I think I still prefer Yoake Umarekuru Shoujo.
I imagine that Shiho was flayed to death or something. That would explain both his aversion to blood and his skeletal state.
i liked this episod eit explained alot about the being of her a flame haze
Although these flashback episodes explain a lot, I still miss the regular episodes backc at the “present”
lots of bandages O_O;
