  1. To the ignorant, this is yuri. To the rest of us who know better, this is yaoi.

    Still, this is relevant to my interests, if only to see what would happen next.

  2. I don’t care. Just shoot me. None of them have a penis anymore. In fact, judging from the lineup of moe-moe anime, there are no men in the world. I won’t accept it. None.

    Am I doing it right? ;)

  3. >I don’t care. Just shoot me. None of them have a penis >anymore. In fact, judging from the lineup of moe-moe >anime, there are no men in the world. I won’t accept it. >None.

    Or maybe they all have …. sounds like a doujinshi subject.

  4. Shame you can’t see their breasts from that angle. Symmetrical docking is always hot.

    …Depends…maybe they’ll do that kind of doujinshi where those darn things keep switching “owners” : D

  6. Epic Traps

    Can you escape them both??

  7. Anyone still remembered the episode 11? Notice after the fight between her and the thugs, you could see the outline of a man’s chest under the boobies. There’s your answer. Unless one can tell us how it’s like in the game instead.

  8. Yaoi is smexyhot. Yarrr. O-Haruhi-sama approves. I won’t accept it any other way. Now where’s the bottom half of the picture?

  9. The Kyon response in and of itself is EPIC! :)

  10. Never been hawter.
    Yurioi? Yaori?
    dam, there should be “…” by Kyon side.

  11. My first thought was Heterosexual, then I read the comments and a light-bulb went off.

    Jun is male.

    ORZ

    I guess this means that Jun is the superior Trap.

    Oh gawds, NO! What was I thinking?!?!

    ARGH!

  12. Relevent to my interests.

    I’m going to go with magic: Jun gets turned into a girl via magic, and Mizuho turns into a girl via whatever it was that can switch his gender.

  13. Man, a trap is just like a muscular girl with a mustache, so why do anime companies keep on churning them out? For the fangirls?
    Girls with mustaches don’t turn me on, so guys with melon-pan shouldn’t turn fangirls on either…right?

  14. >>>Man, a trap is just like a muscular girl with a mustache, so why do anime companies keep on churning them out? For the fangirls?

    I’ll have to disagree, IMHO. The problem with your comparison is that very few anime females can successfully pull off being muscular and wearing a mustache, not to mention it doesn’t look cute on them at all. The appeal with traps – whether male or female – is that they’re so goddamn pretty and moe and pull off the apparent gender change without a hitch that anyone would say, “I don’t care anymore. Just shoot me. No way there’s a penis on this. None. I won’t accept it.” Fangirls like pretty stuff, and successful traps are pretty. The fact that they’re actually of the opposite gender is merely something else that adds interest to what’s already there.

  15. >>Man, a trap is just like a muscular girl with a mustache

    I’ve never seen a reverse trap like that in anime before, and I’m sure it’s good for my sanity.

    Reverse traps have boyish good looks without being shouta. See Kino from Kino no Tabi and Haruhi from Ouran for examples.

    I’ve firmly believe it’s ’cause the Japanese love cock.

    Yaoi for the girls, and futa and traps for the boys. Just when you think you found a good yuri doujin, Pow! there it is; Shizuru and Natsuki are sporting giant peeners just above their good parts.

    I’m of the ever dwindling camp that believes a vagina is the ultimate source of good and win, and wish to see other mens junk as infrequently as possible (even if he looks good in a skirt).

    But when you go on Baka-Updates and see that every second manga series released is about two dudes who want to hug naked, and every second mens H doujin has a girl growning a willie (or surrounded by fifteen willies at once); you can’t help but come to the conclusion that Nippon loves teh dink.

  17. Heh. It’s not something all guys can get away with, you know.

    If only OtoBoku and Happiness were ACTUAL FREAKING ADULT ANIME, then I’d truly be happy. :(

  18. >>But when you go on Baka-Updates and see that every second manga series released is about two dudes who want to hug naked

    Baka-kun could have a point, but don’t forget that these are the scanlated releases in the US. There may be an abundance of penis love in Japan, but it must border on obsession among American otaku.

    But seriously, what’s up with that? Who puts that much time and effort scanning, translating, and texting what is essentially one of those international, needs-no-translation types of interactions? Peenering is the same in every language.

  19. I think part of the appeal is the boy’s fantasy of gaining entry to the forbidden: being able to go into the girls’ bathroom, watching other girls change right out in the open, snuggling up with them in no-boys-allowed slumber parties and hearing what they talk about when the boys aren’t around. It’s not a very grown-up fantasy, but it’s one I imagine most boys go through. It’s the same as the fantasy of being able to turn invisible.

    Meanwhile…

    YTAJR.

  20. A certain person and I have discusses this tidbit of trap on trap action. We don’t call it yuri or yaoi. We call it yauri. Men who think they are women and, uh…it’s the thought that counts.

  21. Then for the sake of your own sanity, don’t ever watch Princess Princess.

    (I probably didn’t need to tell you that, though.)

  22. Princess Princess? What’s that all about?

  23. Obviously, none of you n00bs has ever watched La Blue Girl.

  24. >>>YTAJR (Yes, These Are Jason’s Readers).

    Who the hell is Jason? And is that suppose to be an insult?

  25. Jason == the owner and operator of this blog?

  26. There’s a copyright on the bottom to answer that question.

  27. The HELL with everything…. all of it a trap….
    Princess Princess == TRAP
    Gravitation == TRAP
    Code Geass == TRAP
    xxxHolic == TRAP
    AoMM == TRAP

  28. >>Syaoran Li Says:
    >>
    >>AoMM == TRAP

    So does that mean Jason regularly disguises himself as a hawt chix0r? Is his closet actually full of meido fuku and nekomimi headbands?

  29. If only they were eating Pizza Hut in this picture…

  30. >>>So does that mean Jason regularly disguises himself as a hawt chix0r? Is his closet actually full of meido fuku and nekomimi headbands?

    That might make sense, given that there are no chi>

  31. GAH, my comment got eaten, forgot about HTML tags. :( I’d recover it if I remembered what I was saying, and if I wasn’t too lazy.

    >>>Gravitation == TRAP

    I thought it was just… gay? Not gay as in bad gay, of course, but hard gay.

  32. La Blue Girl is teh scariest piece of animated bestiality I’ve ever laid eyes on.
    Now to go find out if I should avoid spending the next week watching princess princess..

  33. Hate to brand myself as a n00b here, but out of curiosity, where did the term “traps” come from? It’s not common parlance, so I’ve come to believe it’s unique to the anime blog community (if not actually unique to this blog). Is it a misspelling of “trans” (similar to the way we got the word “pwned”)? Or an acronym for something like “That’s Really A Penis, Sucker”? Those are my best two theories, so if it’s neither of those, I’d really appreciate being enlightened.

  34. That pic is ugly.

  35. >> Mangator

    I believe it’s from 4chan where, when someone post a pretty boy in dress, somebody else will post Admiral Akbar’s pic w/ “It’s a trap!” caption.

  36. Oh, forgot one thing:

    >> TGMC (post #4)

    Careful, with this pair, you’ll get lower symmetrical docking instead of usual upper one. XD

  37. @Mangator:

    Those are pretty awesome theories, btw, even if they’re not exactly correct.

    The Admiral Ackbar explanation evolved out of Something Awful, where it’s been a long-standing tradition to find and post pictures of really hot (as in look totally female, but…) transvestites, transsexuals, homosexuals, and what have you, the idea being that if you fap to it, you’re snared and are now gay. Consequently, this spilled over to the anime fandom, and 4chan.

    Well, that’s the idea, anyway. To quote Kurogane, fap first, worry later.

  38. Incidentally, both traps are now out of the SaiGar tourney.

  39. Fool! The cardboard box is superior to the Trap technique! I refuse to destroy masculinity to enter the girl’s room!

  40. With this picture, life has died. Of the death.
