kanon 19

Elimidate continues with only two contenders left. Who will walk home with the trophy? Kanon 19.

image

A quick personal note: I am going to be in and out of town due to work the next few weeks. I won’t be making any Yuuichi-class promises about posting, but I’ll do my best keeping up with Kanon at the very least. Due to the lack of time, I probably will not do March Madness this year.

image

Ayu’s “wish” is waaaaaaay to poetic for a grade schooler. Did you ever have a childhood friend begging you not to forget him/her when you were in first grade? I could barely stop eating paste at that point… OH SHI- that does explain things…

(Though Ayu wished for Yuuichi to remember her, and that turned out well…)

image

Yuuichi is brooding after the loss of Shiori (don’t worry, she’ll be back, even if she doesn’t have the same awesome healing powers as Mao or Wolverine), so Ayu of all people comfort her. Actually, Yuuichi is brooding about, “Who the hell is going to make me lunch now?” He’s looking at his option (Ayu) and has the same face as Miami Heat fans seeing Jason Kapano starting for an injured Dwayne Wade.

image

Enjoyed Yuuichi’s “Wait, I’m the type of guy who buys girls headbands?” He’s been a player for so long, he can’t keep track of what he’s given his girls. He needs to start up a database or an Excel spreadsheet at the very least to keep track of his harem expenses. In the original series, the missing item was the headband.

image

Thanks to Kyoto Animation, I’ll never look at a ponytail in anime the same way again. Either Ayu’s gonna have to kiss Nayuki to save the world from transparent monsters or a crazed and drugged out Jun would jump Nayuki wearing a horse mask. But Ponytail Nayuki 4tw.

(For an anime where the girls run around in short skirts in snow, why is Nayuki stretching in an warm-up trenchcoat? Kyoto! It’s been 18 episodes since we’ve been treated to some fanservice. At least toss in a hot springs episode.)

image

Paying attention to the hair color, Ayu does look like the love child of Yuuichi and Jun. Now excuse me while I light myself on fire.

image

Makoto fans (all four of you), who is your Oharuhi-sama now!

image

Loved Jun’s “You shouldn’t be dating grade schoolers, Yuuichi” line. Loved Jun’s expression afterwards more. Loved Yuuichi’s, “Hey, I’m tapping more ass that you ever will” smirk during this whole process the most. Then again, if the 39 year old mayor of San Francisco can date a girl half his age, why can’t Yuuichi?

image

Wow, I’m impressed that Kyoto bothered to draw in so many random spectators. You can even see Yuuichi and friends in the very corner.

image

At this point, I was thinking, “She’s going to win by a cup size.” I’m going to hell, aren’t I?

image

Gotta love how Yuuichi’s random words of encouragement are a turbo boost for Nayuki. All he’s done thus far is give random words of encouragement to the girls. It’s not like he did anything special with Makoto, Mai, or Shiori besides cheer them on and believe in them, yet he was able to have a profound effect on their lives. Maybe there’s a lesson here. Nah.

image

In hell’s anime club, they show nothing but Bleach and Tenchi in Tokyo: I was right about the cup size at the very least.

image

Almost as awesome as the ending to Rocky Balboa. I’m not a big Rocky fan, but I always watch Rocky III or IV if I stumble upon them on basic cable. It’s the Sunrise of movie franchises: you’ll be disappointed if you’re looking for Babel-class work, but you’ll be delighted if you’re looking for William Shatner-class unintentional comedy. Everything about Rocky is about unintentional comedy, from Creed’s, “Hey woman! I bet you go to bed every night wondering what it’s like to sleep with a real man!” to Rocky’s ridiculous fight against Drago. Rocky Balboa just takes it to another level. I really enjoyed the movie, needless to say. In terms of aging leading men reprising old roles, I can’t wait now to see a fifty year old Bruce Willis take on terrorists in Die Hard 4, a sixty year old Governor of Cod-di-for-ni-a Ah-nauld don loin cloths for Conan 2, and a seventy year old Harrison Ford battle Nazis in Indy 5.

image

Nayuki is adorable! But you know this already.

image

I can’t believe how dense Yuuichi is when Nayuki confessed that she liked a boy from long ago. Still, to my contemporaries who think that we’re headed for a Nayuki ending, I’m beginning to think that we’re not getting the Nayuki story at all. Nayuki’s story basically culminates with Nayuki alluding to the fact that she has always loved Yuuichi, and we just got that scene. In fact, I felt like we were ambushed by it here. I wanted Nayuki to show some angst about her battle against Ayu for Yuuichi, and it seems like she just gave up. I wanted to see at the very least a Jealous Nayuki stumbling across Ayu and Yuuichi making out.

image

One of the bigger sci-fi elements of Kanon has to be the girls picking out the least expensive gifts possible. (BTW, Valentine’s Day is next week.) They apparently don’t subscribe to the, “Diamonds. Big ol’ rocks.” philosophy.

image

The biggest clue to me is still the fact that Ayu is the first and last girl that we see in the OP as well as the girl running in the ED. We’re going to end up at Ayu’s ending, and there’s no way out.

(Unless of course Sunrise takes over and introduces another girl complete with her own mecha as well as the return of Makoto in a mask…)

image

Good to see Nayuki being somewhat of a tease… though I would have had her say, “No deal!” instead of “Dame!” I also would like to see her in a cocktail dress with a suitcase of money, but that’s another fantasy.

image

I think girls in anime are either really bad or really good cooks. There’s no in between. They’ll either kill you by fattening you up or kill you by food poisoning and/or toxins. This is probably why you don’t see any anime with male protagonists over 30. They just don’t live that long.

image

I’m really having issues trying to come up with a new poll topic. Right now, I’m leaning towards “Best loli couple.” Ayu/Yuuichi, Lucy/Kouta, and, uh, Suzaku/Lulu?

image

Loli Ayu’s eyes are huge. PS3 disappointment huge!

image

So is Shiori the only girl whom Yuuichi didn’t mack on while he was a kid? In a three week winter vacation, he got a lot accomplished. I can only imagine him checking his Treo thinking, “Mmm… show Ayu the tree at two, and then I have to head over to the wheat field to play hide-and-go-seek with Mai at four… dinner at six…”

image

A Zombie Nayuki is fine too. I can’t wait for the first ever Kanon/High School of the Dead crossover doujinshi. It will be too epic for words or blog posts.

(Hearing Akiko warn Nayuki not “to drown” and then having her actually do it reminded me of a scene from Anchorman: “You ate the wheel of cheese and pooped in the fridge? I’m not mad. That’s amazing!” You get the idea… I hope.)

image

“Wait, you have a complete harem yet you’re having lunch with me?” OH GEASS NO! I mentioned this a few times before, but Kanon‘s definitely the reality series of harem anime. Usually a typical harem male acquires more and more haremettes as the anime progresses, but Yuuichi goes the other way. It’s kinda like a combination of Survivor and Elimidate where the girls just drop out one after another, and he’s down now to the “playoffs” between Nayuki, Ayu, and wildcard Jun.

image

I actually kinda enjoy the Elimidate format especially if taken to extremes. For example, wouldn’t Tenchi in Tokyo be improved from “horrible” to “mediocre” if the girls start turning on each other and hunting each other down? Wouldn’t Haruhi Suzumiya go from “epic” to “okay, I’m done blogging because nothing can top it” if Mikuru used the old Elimidate strategy of “stealing third” in the men’s restroom with Kyon?

image

Sitting on a bench increases cuteness by 25%.

image

LOL @ Ayu.

image

Maybe the new poll should be “Favorite crier in Kanon.” Mmm… I already did a Kanon poll already. Gah.

image

Definitely Ayu ending. Very few anime (save Sunrise series) where the male protagonist would kiss any girl other than the chosen haremette. Someone should make an Excel spreadsheet tracking all of this… hey, don’t look at me! I already maintain one spreadsheet. If we’re headed for the Ayu ending, then it’s very disappointing that we may not get the Nayuki ending at all. And that we didn’t even get Nayuki walking by on the second level catching Ayu and Yuuichi kissing.

(Though one mitigating factor is that there’s still seven episodes left, so unless we’re getting a three-part beach episode, there’s too much time left for just Ayu. Oh man, I really hope that they don’t stretch Ayu’s story out for another seven episodes.)

image

I am running out of things to say concerning the melodrama behind Kanon. Not even Grey’s Anatomy goes from one melodramatic story to another this quickly. It was just last episode where Yuuichi had to deal with Shiori’s illness, and now we’re trust into Ayu’s drama (both about her and her mother). We’re not getting a chance to catch our breaths here. Definitely sad girls in snow fatigue.

  1. >>> In the original series, the missing item was the headband.
no it was not ^^; the item was the same in both series

  2. >>> Everything about Rocky is about unintentional comedy, from Creed’s, “Hey woman! I bet you go to bed every night wondering what it’s like to sleep with a real man!”

That was Mr. T in Rocky III, not Apollo Creed, whose punchline was ” That WAS cool! ”

    >>> a sixty year old Governor of Cod-di-for-ni-a Ah-nauld don loin cloths for Conan 2,

There already was Conan 2, so it would have to be Conan 3, the King.

    >>> seventy year old Harrison Ford battle Nazis in Indy 5.

No! Nazis would already be gone and he would be looking for the lost legendary archive of Go Jo Suhn, the first kingdom in Korean peninsula, which contains the Real Chun Bu Kyung, the book which can grant the power of creation, while battling communists in China and North Korea. He would have a Japanese girl helping him, and in end he placed the book back into its proper place in order to maintain balance of universe, for even the fragment of the book had powers beyond imagination with unpredictable consequences. Unknown to Indiana Jones, the female aid copied a small portion of the book in order to study them and forgot to destroy them. When she returned to Japan, she settled down and married to a good man from Suzumiya Family and the notebook was left forgotten in the attic. Recently, her granddaughter, who lives in the same house, was accused of drawing weird pictures on her school ground.

  3. Coorect me if I’m wrong, but I believe than there is only 5 eps left…

  4. Never forget Canvas 2, everyone thought they knew how it was going to end and then BAM! There is also 7 episodes still left in the series, plenty of time for Nayuki’s story and maybe (god please) a Nayuki ending to come out of this. I mean they can’t go on with Ayu’s story for 7 more episodes…right?

  5. There always is something called Double Reverse.

  6. There are plenty of episodes left, but check out next week’s title. =x

  7. I’m under the impression that Shiori is gone… personal experience tells me you’re often in denial about the fact until it happens and then you start breaking down.

On a brighter note, we should really lists Yuiichi’s accomplishments; He’s married a fox, set himself up for a future menage trois, got a *chu* from cheerful dying girl with permission from her onee-san, has charmed his cousin when he was a kid, and just got a kisu with the semi-legal loli. They ARE the same age after all.

  8. Hinto!
    Hinto TWO!
    Bonus chance!
    Special chance!
    ATTAKU CHANCE!

  9. God im praying that its not going to be an Ayu ending… :S hell id go for a Makoto ending before an Ayu one… :)

  10. I have this feeling that they’ll throw a Nayuki episode, showing us her point of view and how she coped with all of Yuuichi escapades.

Heck, she probably saw the kiss, but they are not showing this to us yet.

  11. I’m sorry, even if Ayu is the same age as Yuiichi, she still looks and acts like she’s maybe 13. What does she keep in that winged backpack anyway? It’s probably full of 2-week-old tayaki… Or Red Bull – get it? Red Bull gives you…eh, nevermind.

  12. Thanks to Kyoto Animation, I’ll never look at a ponytail in anime the same way again.

“Actually, ponytails turn me on. That ponytail you had back whenever looked so good it was criminal.”

There aren’t enough ponytails in anime I think. Too many wacky-ass hairdos or just simple “hair down” look. The simplicity of the ponytail is awesome! :)

  13. speaking of grey’s anatomy, how can they continue to banter about whos getting hitched with who when there’s a flaming half-ferry at the dock? it’s like two of the writers were arguing about which was more important, so said screw it and just lumped it all together in one episode.

then again, if grey’s anatomy was an anime, it would all make sense… here’s to hoping kyoani or the nodame ppl pick it up

  14. >>Makoto fans (all four of you), who is your Oharuhi-sama now!
Who? Why wife-material Sayuri of course. But Nayuki is a close second. The way she says “usotsuki” makes me want to buy her a diamond ring of reasonable size.

  15. It seems they won’t show the Ayu ending… they’ll have to stretch too much, I think…
    …and that gives Nayuki a chance! *-*

Still, KyoAni can still end Ayu’s story (probably at 23, just check the eps. names in the net) and fill in the last 3 eps. something like Yuuchi going back to Mai and realizing his feelings for her, or Shiori getting the miracle and he going that way… bleh, that would take out all the drama before.

    Still, I’m voting for Nayuki.

  16. Hmm.. finish with a cousin, or a 11 year old looking loli…

    Sorry, I just don’t understand Japanese culture…

  17. For Drama’s sake I hope next episode they show a flashback of Nayuki actually seeing the kiss and then going emo and tries to get Ayu out of the house, then one night Nayuki goes into Yuuichi’s room…….
Just because certain girls’ arcs are done doesn’t mean they have to completely cut them from the show Mai and Sayuri have been the hospital long enough (in anime terms) we should be able to see them back at school occasionally, eat lunch with Yuuichi and/or hang out with them a little after school, if all I get is Ayu for the next few episodes, I might have to get myself a pair of boxcutters.

  18. As Jason had already stated about Ayu in OP and ED, it will be the Ayu ending. However, I don’t think KyoAni will completely skip Nayuki’s arc, since she is one of the five girls featured prominently in the OP. Furthermore, her story, in my opinion, is the most heartbreaking one. How can KyoAni answer to the fans why they can’t fit Nayuki’s story in a 24 ep story?

  19. There’s no way Naiyuki’s getting shafted because there’s no way Kyo Ani would spend 7-8 episodes on Ayu. Too many people would complain about the overdose of shota. Though it does seem strange that they’re starting Ayu’s arc first…

  20. Hmph yeah 7-8 eps of Ayu would be too much but I’m all for the Ayu ending!!! Crap don’t kill me >

  21. What will happen if you dip Ayu’s cookies in Akiko’s jam?

  22. It’s either going to be an Ayu ending, or none at all. There’s now way Yuuichi is going to end up with Nayuki. He hasn’t shown anywhere that he has had any kind of feelings for her. Infact, he spends most of his time completely oblivious to her very existence.

Keep up the great comments Jason. They rock!

  23. So, is Kanon is 24 episode or 26? I’m hearing both from various people. If it’s 24 episodes, that doesn’t seem like enough time for both Ayu and Nayuki’s arcs, but it seems like too much for just Ayu. But if its 26, then there seems to be enough for both Ayu and Nayuki.

I’m inclined to believe that there are only 5 episodes left (which will probably contain either an epilogue or something to just fill things out, perhaps the return of some of the other girls, particularly Shiori) and evidence points to us getting a Ayu ending. Though I would certainly prefer a Nayuki ending, I’m not expecting it.

  24. I can’t believe how dense Yuuichi is when Nayuki confessed that she liked a boy from long ago.

^ I read that as confessed that she killed a boy the first two times.

  25. I’m sure that Kanon only has 24 episodes, and if I read perfectly the preview for next week, we’ll reach the end in episode 24 on Mach 15th

Damn it! Yuuichi knows how to encourage a girl. Nayuki is his cousin an all but he was too damn energetic with that cheer. I would prefer to see Ayu ala Mikuru-cheerleader, but NOOO, it was Yuuichi in a bike LOL. Good to see that Shiori is fine, at least for now. Maybe Jun has a chance with Kaori. Speaking of chance, I like how Yuuichi begged Nayuki about a hint…. CHANCE anyone? After that, please give Sugita the Award for “Best Masculine Interpretation”, for Yuuichi not Kyon.

What else can I say about this episode? Well, lest go to see Bruce Willis on Die Hard. My favorite line in Spanish is when he throws the C4 over the elevator and says “tomen esto malditos”. Old movies FTW!

    Good night

  26. A Nayuki is fine too.

Yes, The OP and ED have been pointing to Ayu ending since the beginning, as have various happenstances (is that a word?) so far, especially #19. But I will live in denial until the bitter end and light a candle for a Nayuki ending – just because Ayu is the character I like the least. Which is to say, not at all (HAET HAET HAET).

I would have preferred a Mai ending, but she got surpassed in the Survivor league by a terminally ill girl… I tells ya, there’s no justice in the world. No justice at all.

  27. Lol all in all I’d like a Mai ending too, but for me Ayu is fine. Still Nayuki said she was rejected and Yuuichi doesn’t remeber anything from his past so that probley threw him off. He’d probley remeber something like rejecting his own cousin lol

  28. Jesus christ people, HORIE YUI DOES AYU, STATISTICS SAYS SHE’S GOING TO WIN.

I think the taiyaki fetish is hilariously cute.

    God, Ayu’s so kawaii… /worship

F*** YOU ANIME… bad for the brain… ack… must watch MILF pornography to offset anime’s tendency to perpetuate pedophilic tendencies in modern society.

  29. Yes, we know we’re getting the Ayu ending but people can still dream right?

Actually, something just occured to me just now. If you break it down, bestiality love, crazy girl love, and sickly girl love all got surpassed. Now, all there’s left is either pedo love or incest love. Oh Anime…

  30. Acutally, the best ending is a KgNE one, where Ayu is permanently c______e, and Yuuichi settles for the girl who was always in love with him since childhood – Mai

  31. … Now that I think about it, why isn’t there a headband attack in EFZ?? The move closest to a long-range attack for Ayu is her tackle, but I get hurt sometimes. She definately needs a headband boomerang attack.

  32. >> At this point, I was thinking, “She’s going to win by a cup size.” I’m going to hell, aren’t I?

Don’t worry; you won’t be alone.

    >> What will happen if you dip Ayu’s cookies in Akiko’s jam?

I’m voting for instant black hole and/or Armageddon. Or perhaps it’ll transmute into some infinite power source that’ll fuel our drive to the stars and beyond. Oh, I know! Protoculture!

  33. > Actually, something just occured to me just now. If you break it down, bestiality love, crazy girl love, and sickly girl love all got surpassed. Now, all there’s left is either pedo love or incest love. Oh Anime…

LOL. You just summarized Kanon nicely right there.

  34. So the most normal option is Jun? Hm…Go 2007. They did dance well together, as hideous and eye-gouging a spectacle as it was…

  35. I hate to be nitpicky, but it was Yuuichi who cautioned Nayuki not to drown, not Akiko.

  36. I would prefer another ending but Ayu, and hell yeah, Mai is the better option. Yuuichi’ll have a threesome guarantied.

    Go and disappear Ayu

  37. Aren’t they supposed to be doing the eps of the car accident or are they cutting that out?

  38. Quote:

    End Quote

Actually, Mikuru did do that with Kyon. In a closet, not a restroom. Does it count if it was accidental?

  39. strangely enough, this episode turned me into a nayuki fan. I guess I’m a little late to the party :\

since I’m one of the only people in the world who haven’t seen this show already and managed not to have the ending spoiled for them, I’m still sorta hoping that Ayu is a ghost or something and he ends up with Nayuki.

  40. Please Oharuhi-sama don’t give use too many Ayu episodes!

I think I’d prefer an open ending. In the last episode Mai gets out of hospital, Shiori recovers, hell they could even bring the fox back. Yuuichi could take his pick of haremettes, and we’d end on a high point.

Also the kiss this episode seemed kind of…sudden. Yuuichi treats Ayu no different from any of the other girls, and suddenly he decides it’s fine just to kiss her. They may have had a past together, but since Yuuichi forgot most of it it seems kinda moot.

  41. >>>I think I’d prefer an open ending. In the last episode Mai gets out of hospital, Shiori recovers, hell they could even bring the fox back. Yuuichi could take his pick of haremettes, and we’d end on a high point.

I hate harem series exactly because of the open endings. Just pick one damit, is it really that hard? Or move to the Middle East so you can pick all of them.

  42. 2153th day of detention for Blogsuki…

  43. >>> Now, all there’s left is either pedo love or incest love. Oh Anime…

had a similar chat on a BBS the other day, and sorry to break it to you.
in japan, the legal age not to only get laid, but to get married is 16, which ayu is older than (sure); and cousins are legal, so nayuki is fair game

so at least no law trouble to add to u1’s list of problems

  44. the red ruby….raging heart?

with RH , anyone can be a magical girl…LOL!

  45. Kyo.. I mean Yuuichi is about to break there.

  46. This episode made me quite sad :[
However, it was another good one, very enjoyable watch. I guess Yuuichi really is going to hook up with Ayu. Perhaps… in the last few episodes, everyone will recover and return to have a Mega Harem with Yuuichi at the beach.

Please excuse me, I’m lacking delicious Sayuri ahahaha~ waifu… :[

  47. That kiss was so… lacking any chemistry. Kyon has teased Ayu about looking like a little boy before, I can’t think he’s attracted to her. Offhand, I’d say he has the best romantic chemistry with Mai? Well, and Sayuri, sort of.

Ah well, the most we can hope for is a fun and well-animated ride.

  48. >>I could barely stop eating paste at that point
    >>Now excuse me while I light myself on fire.
    >>I’m going to hell, aren’t I?
    (extra reference:IDontCareJustShootMeTheresNoWayEtc)
    You(`ve been and) are being self-destructive. I`m worried…

    >>Suzaku/Lulu?
Why insist on this? I`m worried of your interests..
    >>and wildcard Jun.and wildcard Jun.and wildcard Jun.
Okay, stop. That`s very dangerous now. (misCTRL-Ved for fun effect)
(BTW, by paste do you mean congee paste used as glue? They`re quite edible right?)

Want Nayuki story? Petition for Nayuki OVA. Maybe have other studio do it? Toei might be happy to do it again. Or give it to studio Deen? As you see fit.

    >>HORIE YUI DOES AYU, STATISTICS SAYS SHE’S GOING TO WIN.
    Statistics, so scary, it wins.

Is relationship with cousin considered incest in the west? I don`t think that`s the case over here in Asia.

  49. it is in china, not in japan, not sure in US since i don’t have a cousin here to be curious enough to find out

  50. Yay for Ayu ending…. and for those screaming that she is loli acting….perhaps there is a reason….

  51. …this episode is a brilliant display of the futility of faith…

…you can pray and pray and pray…even offer bloody sacrifices if you want…but it’s still going to be a f*#king Ayu Ending…

…this is why you can’t depend on God or Oharuhi-sama or the gods of Heaven and Earth…Za Warudo only rewards those who takes action I guess…

…so now where is that poisoned taiyaki I made…

  52. Re: incest in the west. Almost every state in the U.S. outlaws first cousins marrying, many outlaw second cousins, and some go so far out on the geneology tree it’s ridiculous. On the other hand, one of the gags of a certain comedian a few years ago was “You know you’re a redneck if you go to a family reunion to look for a wife.” (The Japanese equivilent of “redneck” would probably be “from Osaka,” FWIW.)

  53. >>>had a similar chat on a BBS the other day, and sorry to break it to you.

I know, I was using hyperbole.

  54. >UBU: Almost every state in the U.S. outlaws first cousins marrying, many outlaw second cousins, and some go so far out on the geneology tree it’s ridiculous.

Actaully most States in the US DON”T have a law against first cousin marriage and none have a law against 2nd cousin marriage.

Also cousin marriages are NOT consider incest by many countries in the world. Only a few bible belt states consider cousin marriages incest.

  55. According to wikipedia, Rudy Giuliani married his second cousin. So it can’t be all that bad… right??? This guy could be the next president!

  56. Jason, you probably forgot you wrote this back in the episode 11 entry,

“He (Yuuichi)’ll be hitting on poor Jun by episode 19.”

    And there it is!

  57. I think any type of ending is fine with me, as long as it’s an entertaining ride to the finish line

  58. I lol’d. Hard.

Thanks for another entertaining post. :D

  59. >> Heck, she probably saw the kiss, but they are not showing this to us yet.

Speaking of which… anyone else find it daunting that the kiss started from the perspective of a building, and then Ayu’s tear reflected that same building? Perhaps Nayuki was inside holding a meat cleaver and screaming “USO DA!” over and over? OH SHI-

  60. “Rudy Giuliani married his second cousin”

    Male or female?

  61. “Giuliani’s first marriage to his second cousin, Regina Peruggi, lasted about 14 years. It was annulled by the Catholic Church because the couple had not obtained a church dispensation required when second cousins marry.”

    Oh well.

Come on Nayuki fans, rally caps on!

  62. i am the only person who is rooting for the Ayu ending?

  63. >>Want Nayuki story? Petition for Nayuki OVA.

    >>the red ruby….raging heart?

    Magical Girl Sleepy Nayuki!

Nayuki must use her magical pillow fighting powers to defeat evil…but it’s all in her dreams… Her spell for sealing enemies with her magic pillow is the Dakimakura.

She snaps back to reality shouting crazy random things like ”parsnips!?” in the middle of class.

Right, I’m going to write this stuff down! I’ll make millions!

  64. NAYUKI = LOVE
    NAYUKI = # 1
NAYUKI = my favourite character of all time
