Who the fuck do you think I am?
(ZOMG! One episode left!)
The funniest part of this episode, for me, is when they’re watching the dog show and while Yukata comments on the dogs, the blue haired due comment on the owners. Fantastic. Next time I watch the spelling bee with other people, I’m going to pull this routine. “She looks like a ツンデレ with that scowl.” “The way she spelled ‘c-a-p-r-i-c-e,’ she’s definitely the girl next door type.” But that wasn’t the funniest part… it was that as they were doing this, Yukata was still happily watching the show, obviously to the social dementia behind her. The only way this scene could have been funnier is if Yukata were wearing an Atlanta Falcons number 7 jersey.

Poor Asian languages and their need for predictive text input. Then again, I can’t believe that Konata has an actual word processing program installed. Thought she would free up that hard drive space for shitloads for Mikuru images.
Speaking of which, is “ツンデレ” the codename for Konata’s hidden folder of Kagami pictures?
(And 60 minutes to transfer? Either she has a lot of images, or she’s running Windows Vista with an XP theme.)

A. Someone needs to fill in the gap for the sickly character now that Shiori and Kanon have moved on.
B. Poor DNA. I mean, you share DNA with Konata… how healthy can that be? In a separate pro-tip, don’t buy an annuity that won’t fully pay out until you’re 75.
C. You’re a whore and slept with too many men and/or women.
D. All of the above.

It worked for Yoko when Darry tried it! I think any post is a success when I get a comment like “Uhhhhh, everything you said was derailed by Darry.”
Not sure what is a better moe mode: Miyuki crying because she doesn’t properly brush her teeth or tentacle attack… mmm… but in any case, with Crying Miyuki and Sick Yukata, I still prefer healthy girl moe modes. Sickness and fragility isn’t much of a turn-on… I do get that some people like the “I must protect her angle!” but I think that’s just a lot of maintenance. It’s the old Sister Princess question: why go for Aria when there’s Jiiya?
LOL FANG-SENSEI with cat eyes. I do know what she means by accumulating more than one can watch… I have a stack of anime DVDs that I still have not touched yet. Most of them are shows that I have watched already (Gravion, Haruhi), but there’s a physical limit. On that note, I salute anyone crazy enough to plow through 200 or so episodes of Bleach and One Piece and 1,000 or so episodes of Pokemon. Those are the true warriors of fandom. I’m almost burned out from just 23 episodes of Raki Suta.
Wait? She’s at the dentist? I thought that was her expression for her wedding night…
Sadly, this is all we get of Tsukasa this episode. WHAT IS WRONG WITH KYOTO!?!

(Patty-chan’s meido rant was fantastic as well. I 100% agree with her. I need a meido too! If I could, I’d hire her to be the spokeswoman for AoMM.)
The montage with Minami was a bit long, but well worth it for Miyuki’s mom’s gnuffing. She’s fantastic. She’s going to be a contender in this year’s MILF awards.
(Can someone make an animated gif of her gnuffing? I’d use that for an avatar for some boards that I frequent. Thanks.)
I enjoyed Konata’s views on mecha anime as well, but obviously she needs to be watching Gurren Lagann. Or is it because Gurren Lagann is so awesome that Kyoto is jealous, much like how Portland fans are feeling after seeing Oden go down for the year? “Damn, why did we pick to animate Lucky Star instead of an awesomely burning transcendent mecha series?”
LOL FANG-SENSEI fails at blogging. This is why I use WordPress as it does autosaves! Also, the normal editor keeps well in Firefox even if connection is lost.

Well, our long, national nightmare is over. With one episode left, Kyoto finally worked Yuko Goto into Lucky Star. I’d love to see an episode of Haruhi now where Mikuru gets hit in the head and thinks (and acts) like a biker yakuza boss and starts dating Onizuka while costume raping Haruhi.
As Yoda would say… yes out of ideas they are.

Yeah Patty was definitely the MVP of this episode her otaku and meido rant made everything awesome. Also, the scene with konata hanging on her leg and all 3 of them shunning away from the “normal” people its so random and so funny, I love this series.

Yes please. I think her seiyu is doing a fantastic job at making her char speak with a foreign accent without sounding too awful.

Yes, well, I can second that. I can’t even watch all the fansubs, let alone DVDs…
I almost feel sorry for Portland, they keep making HORRIBLE draft decisions… even this one was fairly self-evident. Bad knee? Of course Oden’s going to have a bad knee, the dude’s like 50 years old.
I think Kyoto’s contriving ways for Kuroi-sensei to end up crying in her bed. More power to them, because for me, a sad Kuroi-sensei is fine too. I really DO feel sorry for her though. Weird that I’m sympathizing with a fictional character more than the plight of a real life NBA team. Could be worse, I could be a Raiders fan… uh oh.

Ghost Hounds seems very promising. Shiro Masamune and I.G. is always a winning combo. There’s always the 2nd Season of Shana as well.
Since you followed Kanon, CLANNAD for Fall 2007 would be the logical choice.
Clannad? (I wonder if they might go for the Tomoyo ending given there’s Tomoyo After…) I hope there are some dark horse surprises. I haven’t been fanatic about an anime since Haruhi…

I’d TOTALLY take HotD over any mech anime. Clannad, not so much, but Ghost Hounds does seem interesting. I’d wait until a thin slicing before making any final decision, though.

i kinda refuse to watch clannad until afterstory (the word is Clannad main arc, SHnY2, and Clannad afterstory is the schedule kyoani gonna go for)
Dragonaut has all 5 SoS-dan member in it, though the graphic doesn’t look too promising
genshikan is getting another season, though story is gonna be more like a sitcom

I’ll just do it here instead of 24: Thank you jason for these absolutely hilarious blog posts on Lucky Star each episode! I couldn’t wait to dive into them after my sub finished downloading.
Sad that Tsukasa hasn’t gotten any spotlights lately in the last couple of episodes of the series. The other sad thing is that since Lucky Star is ending, we won’t get to see more Misao… OI! KYOANI! ANIMATE MISAO MORE NEXT SEASON. (Yes, there will be a next season… oh the horrors of delaying FMP!)
Obviously CLANNAD is going to be blogged. MY secondary vote would be Negima! Live Action… for the lulz. If not being an anime doesn’t count, then go for Shana, which I think is the only other “popular” anime for the Fall 07 season asides from CLANNAD and Gundam 00. I’ll also be watching Da Capo II (for lulz), Gunslinger Girl II (I have the first season to catch up with) and GAMBLING APOCALYPSE KAIJI (of which only 4chan will follow… Akagi was epic, really).

…and includes my top three… Looks like I might have to watch Clannad after all. Probably ought to finish Kanon first, though, just to get in the mood…
As for my suggestions on what to follow, I’ll join the (apparent) majority and say Shana II. It just fits. I’m sure that won’t stop you from throwing out the obligatory AoMM KyoAni Watchâ„¢ coverage of Clannad from time to time, and a Live Action Negima trainwreck post is a must, even if it’s just part of a Thin Slicing.
Well since my world doesn’t revolve around Kyoto Animation, I’m going to suggest Shana II and/or Kodomo No Jikan. My blog will be covering Gundam 00 (which I’m not sure why is not an option for you to blog), and will NOT be covering Clannad as far as I’m concerned. Not a band wagon jumper and not interested in hype or Clannad to begin with.
Kodomo no jikan is too godly for the internets… so go with Shana.
