I think that it’s scary that the game is better animated than KyoAni’s work…
That’s some pretty damn impressive animation.
Wait a few years and maybe that will the normal standard of KyoAni’s work. It’s a scary thought and I’m not sure my fapping hand could take it. It’s already having enough trouble with Yuki in this animation!
I think I sum up many of the comments when I just post this…

I was going to call this “Pure FANGasm”… but I’m getting Uncanny Valley syndrome. The kind you get when your anime characters feel just off cos they’re rendered instead of drawn…

As for Itsuki, I can’t say I’m surprised… In one of the Haruhi Theatre short stories, he winds up as the Bard after all. As for Kyon, why do I have the impression that he’s more pissed than normal? Must be the rendering…

Exactly the same feeling I had when I watched this. True, the animation quality is slightly above average, something inside me just keeps haunting me that this isn’t the Haruhi I joined the Church of Haruhi for.
For the uninformed and lazy-to-google/wiki, Uncanny Valley is explained thus:
“…that, if an entity is sufficiently non-humanlike, then the humanlike characteristics will tend to stand out and be noticed easily, generating empathy. On the other hand, if the entity is “almost human”, then the non-human characteristics will be the ones that stand out, leading to a feeling of “strangeness” in the human viewer.”
Itsuki looks FABULOUS in the Priest Tier 5 armor.
It’s great and all,but I’m even more interested in the game and how it plays. Maybe Haruihi’s been playing too many RPGs and has changed the world to suit.
I can just imagine the limit breaks – Mikuru Beam R! Haruhi DYNAMIC ENTRY! Fabulous Itsuki Rainbow! Imperceptible Yuki Nod of Destruction! And most powerful of all,Kyon Annoyance Facepalm! :-P

It’s 3D, but it’s the best 2D->3D adaptation I’ve ever seen. But still, I don’t know if an anime produced this way would appeal. While it’s ok in OP/ED to have fluid and complex animations, in anime itself it’ll often look out of place.
the men looked pretty bad when they were dancing, why were they anyways??? no seriously……
Why is Mikuru the one that’st the most clothed?
