seitokai no ichizon 6

You’re gonna get swine flu from eating that!

(Needed to get up a post for 11/11 11:11. I don’t even care that it doesn’t involve Kyonko.)

Two thoughts… the way she (as I have no clue what sensei’s actual name is) holds the Pocky, I’m positive she would fit in as a cast member of Mad Men. Second, why are anime high school teachers either hysterically hawt or hysterically funny or both? As a traditional teenaged boy, I wouldn’t have been able to concentrate in her class.

(Maybe she could substitute teach with Ciel-sensei at Hinamizawa someday. In terms of “Most Milked Franchise of 00s”, I might have to go with either Higurashi, Haruhi, Eva, CSI, or Guitar Hero.)

image

And the way she sits… opposite of ladylike. Speaking of which…

image

… if you ever wanted to doze off on Mio’s delicious thighs, you still can’t, but you can have the next best thing: fake K-On! pillow thighs. I don’t understand why not just make a complete plush toy if you’re going to go to all this trouble. Is it a cost issue? Or do they think that people would get self-conscious about having a life-sized Mio doll? “Hey, guys, I’m not a freak. I don’t have a life-sized anime plush doll that I sleep on. I only have the thighs.”

image

Ken is awesome. I’m not sure if he’s an idiot or a savant or both at this point. But I do know this… Clannad would have been a comedic tour de force not seen since Fumoffu if it starred Ken instead of Tomoya.

image

I like how in Ken’s fantasy, all his haremettes wear their hair ornaments to bed. I also like how this fantasy takes place outdoors.

(But they made two mistakes. First, they drew nipples for Ken here but not in the previous screenshot. Come on. Be consistent Studio Deen. Also, while Ken, rightly, has his hands on Minatsu’s and Mafuya’s asses, Chizuru’s hands should be on Aka-chan’s ass. How could Ken screw that up?)

image

Eh, I don’t like it when a comedic show tries to work in a serious plot. Never works. You want your comedies to go the other way and get more ridiculous and more hilarious, not half-assed drama. It’s like taking the Pretty Girl Squad out of Needless or asking the Steve Nash Phoenix Suns to play defense.

image

So disappointed that they didn’t work in an Eva reference. Though I’d like to see a three way cage match between Seitokai‘s School Council Rangers, Bamboo Blade‘s Blade Bravers, and Negima‘s Baka Rangers.

image

I like Ken going into his harem fantasy mode… and quoting a fantasy out of Haruhi and one out of Raki Suta. He should have mentioned how cute girls become even hawter if they’re playing bass, or broke out a starfish to complete the trifecta.

(Though I don’t think Aka-chan is… uh… specced for a bunny girl outfit. It should be like armor in certain RPGs. You need this much strength and constitution to equip this armor.)

(How… how… can it be almost 2010, and we still don’t have a K-On! Blu-Ray extra involving bunny girl guitarists? I find that almost as shocking as not finding Mesousa in Bakemonogatari. Shit. I just reminded Shaft of something that they shouldn’t be reminded of.)

image

I like how everyone’s color was stereotyped… red for Aka-chan, black for Chizuru, pink for Mafuya… though I would have gone with purple for Ken. For weapons, I would have gone with a microphone for Aka-chan (think Minmay Defense), a whip for Chizuru (self-explanatory), an NDS that controls a giant robot for Mafuyu (actually, two– she could dual wield), Sora no Otoshimono‘s Sohara’s karate chop for Minatsu (I feel like she needs to do more for the tsundere role), and geass for Ken (Echo of Death-niisan would pilot Lancelot, of course).

(I think Minatsu has the greatest potential of all the haremettes in Seitokai, just because she’s a tough get, but a tsundere get she’s going to go lovely-dovely Kyou on you. For Chizuru… she’s just going to make you her own personal Pig of Capitalism. Wait, is that a bad thing?)

image

Wait, double ahoge?! Even Chizuru seems surprised by it. There’s no question in my mind that Chizuru has already explored every peak and valley of Aka-chan’s body. None. They’ve gone farther than (future) Mio and Ritsu.

  1. Magiru-sensei(?) is what Chizuru will be in ten years; hot, likes to torture students and doesn’t give a damn about anyone else’s opinion… which is why she went so easily with Chizuru’s pain theme for the school festival.

Also, the way Minatsu was acting in the end was very… tsundere for Ken. Figures that the girl who he’s making the most progress with is the one who otherwise has no interest in him, either as a torture guinea pig (Chizuru), as a childhood friend-type (Aka-chan), or as a yaoi fangirl type (Mafuyu).

  2. That, and the Higurashi references… “If you’re going to have a meeting, I prefer you to do it with a hatchet and a bat” or “Getting sent to Hinamizawa is my dream.”… ah, creepy-sexy teachers, where were you all when I was in high school?

  3. Though I’d like to see a three way cage match between Seitokai’s School Council Rangers, Bamboo Blade’s Blade Bravers, and Negima’s Baka Rangers.

Are you excluding Muteki Kanban Musume’s Star Rangers because Miki would eviscerate them all?

I like how quickly they all shot down each others festival suggestions at the start of the episode.

  4. Neriya: Are you excluding Muteki Kanban Musume’s Star Rangers because Miki would eviscerate them all?
I like how quickly they all shot down each others festival suggestions at the start of the episode.

I think it’s because the Star Rangers are nothing compared to the power of Hell’s Bunny and Pink Ranger. As for the shoot-down, given their ideas… well, it was inevitable, since it would’ve been a horrifying boring episode, or just mildly frightening (BL Festival).

  5. I want more girls to sit in un-ladylike positions.

If you get what I mean.

  6. Yeah there are a lot of shows that could be enhanced by having Ken as the male lead, of course I wonder how this show would turn out if School Days Makoto took Ken’s spot. Poor poor Mafuyu wouldn’t stand a chance……

  7. I like the room Sei☆Zon is in. Until this episode, I could never tell exactly what was behind those pull down shades. The split level storage/sitting/napping/dressing/undressing room complete with organ really adds to the versatility over a standard club room.

  8. Chumara: Yes, Minatsu would’ve torn Makoto’s top head off before he’d gotten halfway through taking Mafuya’s resistance down… that is, if Chizuru had left anything to be beheaded, since anyone who made the sorts of moves Makoto would’ve put on Aka-chan would’ve been deader than Sekai after Kotonoha…

  9. Another excellent episode. The injection of DRAMA!!! was a bit surprising (though tehy did this before with Ken’s abrupt confession about two-timing) but worked well enough into the episode, perhaps because it gave more depth to Minatsu’s flat character (obviously I am not referring to her hopes and dreams here). Also, the combined inertia of episodes 5 and 6 have decisively pushed her into #1 position amongst the four. That is if one looks past the most preferred: a harem ending.
And having just played MGS4, I liked the Metal Gear reference.

  10. > In terms of “Most Milked Franchise of 00s”, I might have to go with either Higurashi, Haruhi, Eva, CSI, or Guitar Hero.

Not Negima? After the original manga, it’s got 2 separate anime series, a (horrible) live-action series, 6 OVA episodes (with 3 more coming) across 3 series, a movie in the works, and a spin-off manga.

  11. Asking DEEN for consistence would be like asking Itsuki to not be fabulous or expecting Itoshiki-sensei to not go into despair. We just can’t have that.

“Eh, I don’t like it when a comedic show tries to work in a serious plot. Never works. You want your comedies to go the other way and get more ridiculous and more hilarious, not half-assed drama.”

Totally agree. That worst thing is that they keep doing it. Sadly, for the looks of it, it looks like they will keep doing.

It’s funny. It’s random. It’s dumb fun and sometimes extra dumb. They should keep it that way.

  12. Oh god, Mafuya the delinquent in cutoffs is hot…

  13. need more minatsu!! i think she is a new seiyuu as she only voices only for a couple of anime, but i think she is doing a good job for a tsundere. really appreciate this episode for being minatsu centric, her story with her mother is heart warming too
