“How do we make things more exciting around here?”
(I think Pirate Isuzu is pretty exciting. It’s always time for piracy.)
Kanie blushed when he saw Pirate Isuzu! He didn’t blush when they made the swimsuit promo video, so maybe this means that the Kanie x Isuzu ship can finally sail.
(Seeing this scene… I would totally watch a space opera series with this cast. Pluck them out of theme park and put them on a spaceship. Kanie would captain, Isuzu first mate, Latifah the civilian leader, and the mascots the pilots of the mecha squad. Like you wouldn’t watch that.)
Sylphy with her shark mittens?! Is this a direct reference to Nichijou?! Coincidence, I think not.
(Do I want shark mittens? Yes, yes I do.)
(And am I disappointed we get a swimming episode, yet no references to Free!)
So the theme park has a blatant Jaws and an Indiana Jones rip-off, yet Moffle is called the cheap imitation? I know the show couldn’t possibly afford the Jaws soundtrack, but I would think it would go impeccably well here.
Totally not a Jabba the Hutt rip-off.
Best scene of the episode. I almost spit out my club soda.
I am glad to see the new hires playing parts in this episode, but one serious question remains: What happened to the security guard? And also the other wrestler? Shouldn’t park security be involved in a park security issue? While the moles were more than competent to handle the task, it does seem odd that security wasn’t involved. Nor that huge flame breathing dragon.
Bodacious pirates? Fanservice? Action? Suspense? Another brilliant episode.
Where is Kanie shooting from? Was there another boat? Did the moles build him a ship? Or is he firing out of his office?
Three MVPs…
1. Pirate Isuzu.
2. Slave Latifah.
3. Shark mitten Sylphy.
>(And am I disappointed we get a swimming episode, yet no references to Free!)
Koboli (the earth fairy) covering her nose after seeing two brothers in swimming trunks. That’s probably a Free! reference.
He hijacked the pirate ship while they were busy partying on shore.

Koboli (the earth fairy) covering her nose after seeing two brothers in swimming trunks. That’s probably a Free! reference. >>> Not to forget Koboli’s reaction during the swimsuit promo video: “I want to see the male version of this” – which is blatant free-reference.\
I wonder why nobody’s realized this one.
I’d plunder that crew!
.
Er-hem. Captain Sento and her Elementario pirates was an inspired idea, and this episode possibly the best of the series.
