“Don’t fuck with me.”

Shana and Yuji’s shining days continue, and Yuji is finally getting a clue about Shana… but just not fast enough. Shana, on the other hand, is trying very hard to not jump him, and she almost pulls a Kaede after Yuji blows off a training session to go stack books with Yoshida. Luckily, Yuji’s mom is around to become the voice of reason and gives advice to both that leads Yuji and Shana back together. And just when I was hoping that Shakugan no Shana is becoming a school romance drama, they introduce a new pair of loli blonde incestuous effeminate Guzes. WTF? Are all the villians rejects from Cluster Edge or something?

Doesn’t this remind you of Saber and Rin?

Yuji, when your mom puts Shana in a “come hither” dress and tells you that she’s been fed and bathed, isn’t that your mom not-so-subtlely telling you, “Go for it!!! You have my permission!!!”?

Hug no Jitsu

I’m liking the dynamic between Yuji, Shana, and Yoshida, though it seems too soon for Shana to wind up in Yuji’s arms. I was hoping more of a catastrophic battle where their love save the day, a la when Rick Hunter and Lisa Hayes get captured by the Zentradi and made out, which caused the Zentradi heads to explode. Or something like that (it’s been a while since I watched). I enjoyed the episode, and there were points where one starts to feel sorry for Shana. Good emotional pull, lots of melon bread shots, and even Shana looking bitchy and mean fighting the Stay Puff Marshmellow man.

    Wow. Someone who can actually pull that Rick and Lisa example straight from memory. Plus knowing how pivotal it was to their relationship. It’s been a while since I ran across another Old Generation Otaku (Robotech and pre-Robotech fan). Cheers from another OGO in Canada!
