tsukuyomi 26

Hazuki, her nekomimi, and Kouhei return in their most nonsensical adventure yet. Their house has been transported into the middle of an ocean! Between Jii-chan’s One Piece-type Bon Clay outfit, Seiji’s emo breakdown, and Hiromi riding dolphins, I felt like I was watching Pani Poni Dash.

I still don’t understand why their house was floating in the middle of the ocean nor how they get gas and electricity for their appliances nor why do they have a propeller on the house. All of them — save for Seiji — are fine with this and continue with their daily routine. Kaoru and Hazuki are still at it, Elfriede and Jii-chan are still at it, and Art just wants some attention. The only person who seems concerned about their predictament is Seiji, who is going nuts, and his application to the Shinn/Van/Kaede/Mai emo Hall of Fame is under review as we speak. His salvation comes when Hiromi-neesama comes and pays them a completely non-sensical visit (why give fish to people trapped in the middle of the ocean, and why not get help), but Kouhei and Hazuki send her off before Seiji can ask here how the heck did she get here. Afterwards, a ship does come, but they are distracted by the dolphin goddess (Hiromi) to pay attention to the floating house.

Dolphin Goddess

Just nonsensical episode with a nonsensical ending. I wonder what they were thinking when they decided on the script for this episode. Is this made up like the Mahoro summer special, or does this episode actually follow some story in the manga? Shana does remind me a lot of Hazuki (both stronger with their male counterparts, both selfish and childlike, both have an object associated with them, either melonpan or nekomimi, etc), and I almost broke out laughing when Hazuki was screaming “Urasai!” at Kaoru/Hikaru. The worst part, of course, is that swimsuit Hazuki only appears for like four minutes. Still, it’s good to see the loli goth nekomimi vampire goddess one last time. Nekomimi mode 4ever.

  4. Uuhm, does the motor at the bottom of the house in the picture http://derailedbydarry.com/ima...../26_10.jpg really look like a Playmobil motor? That’s evil. Look here to compare: http://www.playmobil.de/inters.....s/7350.jpg
