strike witches website up

Oh gosh, hot off the heels of Sky Girls is an upcoming OVA: Strike Witches. From what I gather from the website, it’s lolis transforming into WWII airplanes. Oh, it’s from Gonzo, so you know it’s good.

  1. so they have taken an imageboard fetish and made it real? Why haven’t they done OS-tan’s yet then huh? right, right, copyright and stuff.

  2. Strike Witches will hopefully be better than Sky Girls.
    Here’s the video… requires quicktime.

I love the WW2 plane sounds. Not sure about the Nanoha-ish magic protection circle.

  3. I think there’s a limit to how random an anime can be. .___.

Loli girls with rocket propellar legs is an image board fetish…?!

    A huge fetish
(They are mostly SFW, but its Danbooru so i can’t promise anything) http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/list/tags/planes

  6. Yeah, I remember that fetish now. Funny how some anime producers actually pay attention to those things.

And Microsoft should seriously think about sponsoring an OS-tan anime.

  7. You got me all excited for a La-5FN, but it turns out that they are not airplanes at all. How disappointing.

  8. You’re 100% right about how they should make an OS-Tan anime. Microsoft is missing out on a great opprotunity here. They could even get along with Apple for the Mac-Tans.

  9. Wow, I was intrigued with WWII planes, but whoa. Suffice to say I reocognized some of the names as belonging to WWII aces. Still looks like it Germany and USSR vs. Japan, Great Britain, France, and the US.

  10. *blinks*

No wonder I was getting confused, somehow I though that these two things were the same show, but the Sky Girls mecha didn’t look like what I saw in the Strike Witches promo…whatever.

We get loli’s in highspeed aerial dogfights, and thats all thats really important.

    Plot? Who needs a plot?

  11. o_o;

… Huh. Fighterplaneloli actually gave someone an idea. Yes, I recognize some names, too. An they went and gave Chuck Yeager’s name to the busty one.

    Kudos.

  12. Too bad that in real life the proppelors would cut off their own legs. Whoops.

  13. >> An they went and gave Chuck Yeager’s name to the busty one.

That’s the right thing to do.

    >> Still looks like it Germany and USSR vs. Japan, Great Britain, France, and the US.

Man, talk about revisionist history… first they added the lolis, now they’re changing the teams.

  14. Extreme sarcasm: Gonzo probably felt that the source material (a first hand account of the horrors of war) wouldn’t appeal to anime fans….so they turned the planes into lolis and added magical spells to spice things up
